1. Prepare a title slate in FCP
adding effect>video generator>text onto the timeline
(you can add it directly after the end of your movie)
type in details :

2. set up in/out point and export the title slate to quicktime

3. Launch QuickTime Player 7 Pro (No QuickTime player X).


if your quick time player is not a Pro version,
you may transfer your final cut and title slate movie to school's iMac to finish this cut and paste process.
open your finalcut and title slate movie

4. with your final cut movie activated, press 'command + A' to select the whole clip and 'command+C' to copy.
with you title slate movie activate, drag the pointer(the black triangle) to the end of the clip.


press 'command + V' to press your final cut after the slate.
The duration of the movie is extended as see below.

5. Save as a new movie
make sure it's self-contained
